Christ the King Lutheran Church has many active ministry groups. Through these groups we reach out to the community and to one another in order to allow God's work to be done though our hands and hearts. These ministry groups consist of:

Shawl Ministry

The Shawl Ministry has sent out hundreds of prayerfully made items since its inception in 2006. Our shawls and lap blankets have been blessed and sent to nursing homes, schools and hospitals. We regularly send knitted caps to the cancer centers in the Columbia area. Fundraisers are held to raise money for the local charities.

Community Outreach

This team identifies, oversees and coordinates outreach ministries in our community. Christ the King has an active presence in our community through congregation sponsored projects and individuals voluntarism.

Christian Formation

This team coordinates the Christian formation ministry of the congregation and works to insure biblical and theological soundness. Christ the King offers three different bible studies for adults on Sunday mornings and during the week. Wednesday nights in September and throughout Lent are devoted to special study topics.
